Trolley theft a big problem

Trolley theft has become a big problem in Hartbeespoort and Pick n Pay has now asked the assistance of the public, security companies and neighbourhood watches to assist them in getting their stolen trolleys back.

“We are literally running out of trolleys. We find our trolleys as far as Damdoryn, and all over Hartbeespoort. Security cameras pick up homeless people pushing our trolleys at night.

“We urge the public to assist us to curb trolley theft and report trolleys outside the Village Mall area so we can retrieve them. We would appreciate the public’s help,” a spokesperson for Pick n Pay said.

If you see someone with a trolley outside the mall property or an abandoned trolley, please contact Pick n Pay during office hours at 012 253 1105. After shopping hours, photos and locations of the trolleys can be posted on the Facebook page: Pick n Pay Harties.
